Hosting a Virtual Dinner Party

Home dinner parties might just be the way to show off your new home to family and friends.  It might take a little bit of planning to get everyone together.  It is a great way to stay connected and dresses up in your favourite fashions.

Once you set the date you need to figure out the best way to host your event. Options for your dinner party can include Facetime, Google Hangouts, Zoom, Houseparty app or Skype. Make certain each guest is familiar with your go-to platform.  The Houseparty app adds extra features like games and quizzes.  The next step once you’ve set the date is set is to pick a menu.

The Menu

Ideas for menus can range from everyone making their favourite dish and sharing the recipe, to ordering take out and supporting your local restaurants.  My favourite recipe is my mom’s homemade lasagna, which takes a whole lot of work but is worth it in the end. It’s up to you, so have fun and get creative.

Set the Table

Set the table for the event-Imagine everyone is coming to your house for dinner, don’t forget the flowers and the decorative napkins.  Find the perfect seat at the table for your computer.
